Steve Bannon:
Let me get Dave wash we're going to get Rudy here in a second. I got Dave Walsh up. Dave, I'm going to come back to Rudy.
I got you on here to go through, so they laid out this morning $100 billion a year. We had Steve Moore and the guys they did this amazing report. Walk me through, $100 billion dollars, they said, hey we'd be putting out three million barrels more a day if you stuck with Trump's full energy spectrum dominance. Instead, we got the Saudis, they begged them for a million, they said no in fact we'll cut two. Give us your assessment of the report.
Dave Walsh:
It's absolutely correct and it's what we've been saying all along. He's making the good point that if we remained on the 2019 trajectory, that was interrupted by COVID, but if we stayed in that trajectory then would be back on the path. We would be at three million plus barrels per day in production over where we are now.
You can reconcile that about a million and a half of that shortfall is directly attributable to decisions to produce less on federal lands because some 12 to 15% of our production comes from federal lands where they've gone ahead and you know made decisions on offshore drilling.
They've made a lot of decisions on pipeline capacity, decisions in the Gulf of Mexico, now pressurizing environmental issues in the Permian Basin which is huge. That really is our Saudi by far and away, the Permian, to directly impact three of that three million, a million and a half, is the federal lands portion that he's made specific announcements through his departments to abandon.
So, no that's proven correct, here while we're begging third world nations to supply oil to us. To my point, what is the magic about, why is their oil, what's good about it and bad about ours? That’s the whole conundrum.
Steve Bannon:
Dave hang on a second. It's not just third world nations. It's Venezuela an the Saudis. I mean let’s be blunt. This is not exactly Captain Kangaroo and some nice folks. You're talking about the worst groups on earth. Your point is that hey it's still oil. Number 2, you're actually giving cash money.
This is the problem in Russia, right. They're making more bank than they've ever made. This is the insanity of this moment in history. We're going to have on next hour and I've asked Dave Walsh, he can't join us but I'm going to ask him to assess it tomorrow, the senior member of the Alternative for Deutschland in Germany is going to be on live going Doctor Gunnar Bec.
He's going to walk through the German establishment’s energy plan, cause I went through this thing over the weekend Dave and all your analysis. I said this is insanity right. Now we have countries in the West, the United States and Germany, they're built on fantasies aren't they Dave?
Dave Walsh:
No, they are you raise an excellent point and I'll take it a step further. The countries you're talking about, that he's dealt with Iraq, the Kingdom and now Venezuela in spades. They share across them a fair degree of corruption. I only put that out there out, how do funds flows work when these deals get cut? I'm just saying.
They've got a long history of that so there's, there might be something inside of the rationale for dealing with these kinds of nations for what should be an essential critical dependency on ourselves for our national defense, for our own people as opposed to, when we can produce our way out of this very easily and we had been on that trajectory. Steve was exactly right this morning and we've taken a hiatus.
Steve Bannon:
$100 billion a year, the Steve Moore report. I want everybody read it. Dave how did people get to you on social media cause you kind of become an energy rockstar right now on.
Dave Walsh:
Dave Walsh energy and get her thank you Steve.
Steve Bannon:
Dave, thank you very much we'll talk.
