Steven Bannon:
OK let's go to the border that we really care about now that’s the southern border the United States we're going to go to Real America’s Voice top investigator reporter, Ben Bergquam, who's down in La Jolla Texas about 20 miles outside with La Jolla about 20 to30 miles outside of McAllen TX down in that part of the Rio Grande Valley. Ben the first question for you is how important is the eastern border the sovereignty the territorial integrity of Ukraine to the folks down bearing the brunt of the invasion on the southern border the great Hispanic American working-class folks down there in the Rio Grande Valley Sir?
Ben Bergquam:
Almost none. It's almost not important at all other than the fact that it's impacting the people that live here. I'm standing at a gas station right now where the price of diesel is almost $5 a gallon and what Joe Biden and the Democrats have done to this community, that pisses off the community but really does is what we saw this morning.
I was riding with Lo Jolla Texas Police Department and before we got here there were two bailouts. There were two pursuits right before we got here soon as we got in the car we were driving around we captured another group of illegals. I've got some video of a one of the cartel smugglers who's believed to be part of the Gulf Cartel that simply come into America and then just a few minutes after that we went down up the road to my right here where another group was crossing into the desert, and we captured them getting brought back into the community. And then we drove into this community. It's very small as you mentioned we're about 20 minutes away from McAllen TX.
La Jolla Texas is the epicenter for the invasion of America and the worst part about this is the cartels live here. They live in these communities. We went to three properties that have been seized by La Jolla Texas Police Department for their cartel activities their Rico crimes. They're actually going through the cases right now and they're in normal affluent communities. They're in poor communities. They're all throughout here.
That's what the people of the Rio Grande Valley worry about, they worry about their children playing in these streets and getting shot or picked up and sold into sex trafficking or part of this cartel activity that will end up leading them to a life in prison. This is what the folks here worry about and that's why were seeing them turn away from the Democrats in droves not to mention everything else Joe Biden’s doing on the energy sector and our supply chain and caring more about Ukraine’s border than America's border. We're seeing a mass exodus from the Democratic Party by the folks of the Rio Grande Valley.
Steve Bannon:
Also, I want to bring up I think it was in Afghanistan the 13 heroes who died I think six or seven were Hispanic Americans. Remember I think that 50% of Marine Corps rifle platoons rifle squads are made up of Hispanics. The valor and courage to defend their country, the patriotism doesn't come any higher than it comes from Hispanic Americans particularly down in the Rio Grande Valley. One of the young men was actually from Laredo which Laredo likes to argue they’re the capital not McAllen of the Rio Grande Valley at the other end of it but what about their patriotism and the in their valor? I mean this going to be war in Ukraine it's going to be kids from La Jolla Texas not Mitt Romney sons we know that, OK? It’s not going to be the wealthy sons. It's not going to be the people in Congress and the Senator’s sons. It's going to be these kids down the Rio Grande Valley. Ben Bergquam.
Ben Bergquam:
You drive through this community and what do you see, you see American flags flying. You see patriotism. This this community and a lot of them are quiet you know. A lot of times they won't come out and tell you that they oppose the cartels because they're worried for their lives the people down here. I just took off my bulletproof vest that Lo Jolla Texas PD makes me wear when I ride with them because the danger is real here. They do not care.
They are not worried about the southern the Ukrainian border they're worried about the U S southern border that is actively being invaded and while we're being distracted and deflected by all this other news around the world and these war Hawks that you're talking about trying to lead us into another war. The last thing the people here want to do is send their sons and daughters off to die for somebody else’s border when our border is being invaded. You are absolutely right Steve.
Steve Bannon:
Hang we’re going take a short break. We’re going to take a quick break.
Ben Bergquam, this is so important what’s happening down on the Rio Grande Valley and I think in the next couple of days we’re going to start having on the show folks running for office done there up on the show to talk about. Here's the question. Since they've taken our eye off the ball with or trying to take our eyes off the ball not the War Room trying to take the public eye off the ball with this issue in Ukraine on the eastern border of Ukraine in the Russian speaking provinces about this border dispute they're having, are we still undergoing an invasion on the southern border from the perspective of the folks living down there, sir?
Ben Bergquam:
Absolutely it's a perfect question. I was just with the president of Border Patrol council Brandon Judd this weekend at President Trump's rally in Florence South Carolina and he told me something that’s shocking because we're not here than anywhere else other than here. They're anticipating the highest number of legal apprehensions this March ever in history since they've been recording it. They’re anticipating over 180,000 this month. That's what they're on track for. And we're talking about half of those fighting age men aged 18 to 35 just like the men that we caught this morning crossing our border. This is what is happening on a daily basis in America.
This is an invasion. It is an invasion of our country and on top of that we actually had more Russians invade last year than we've ever had in American history. 151 different countries, half of those fighting age men all coming in now and the numbers are only increasing. This is a disaster for America in the making and to me it's actually more sinister than what's happening in Ukraine. When you see what's happening in Ukraine outside of the propaganda where we can't trust the information coming from either side, it's visceral. It's right in front of your face. What's happening in America the takedown of America is happening quietly in large part because of the complicit media. That's why we're here. That's why Real America's Voices is here. That's why we have the new show Law and Border. Just wait till you see the footage that we got from today for the new episodes and what we're going to get tomorrow and the next day it is absolutely an invasion of this country and it's only getting worse.
